That New Air are destined to leave from the primordial soup of Italian bands to set themselves up as the new cornerstone of experimental music is already foreseeable: smart, original, daring and willing to put everything at stake just to reach their ideal style. What stands out from the interview with the channel “Music Station ITA” is that they are more interested in music itself, and above all in perfecting their musical style, than in the earnings (the interview is Highly recommended to anyone who wants to know more about the “philosophical” origins of their music ), which they have abundantly proved during all their performances, adopting a genre full of influences as opposed to choosing a more commercial one with the sole intention of making money (which, with their skills, they could do without difficulty).
And speaking of performance, as usual, the Roman duo was back to delight audiences again this month with a concert held on May 15th at The Cathedral, during which they surprised everyone by doing something relatively new to them: playing without collaborating with other artists. No illustrators, no dancers, writers, comedians or any another artists. As usual, Andrea Morganti and Gabriele Carone managed to be loved by the audience through the power of their music, with a “surprise ending” that, undeniably, was appreciated.
