A month with New Air: May 2016

The first step is always the most important one and the New Air decided to perform it in a decisive manner by publishing in early May the single “Stuck In This Abyss” pioneer to the future album “Venus“.
The song conveys the falsehood of politics represented by a dark abyss in which man falls out of ignorance. The Roman band, however, provides the solution by going beyond old beliefs, thanks to an idea of life, especially based on freedom and conscience. Consciousness therefore will oppose the conspiracies of those who appear as tyrants and are not prone to true democracy.

Stuck In This Abyss” is then represented in an exemplary manner in the video released around the middle of the month on BlankTV channel, whose direction was entrusted to Leandro Cioni from DRC Creativity Production. In the video four different characters are presented, all played by actress Irene Boncompagni, reflecting in everyday life the abyss in which man remains trapped unknowingly.

The single was later broadcast on 23 national radio and thevideoclip over 6 TV channels both Italian and foreign. The Sardegna Reporter and two blogs related to music such as BFG Music Group and Blog della Musica wrote about “Stuck In This Abyss” praising in particular the large merger between the Jazz and Dubstep, as well as the usual elektronische musik.

At the end of May the album cover “Venus” was created by Elena Ricci, which shows a nude Venus above the Earth. With her right hand holding a cigarette and with the left hand a city on which she emits the smoke that she has inspired, trying to convey its purity. Thus is becomes more evident the attempt to represent the “Venus Project“, showing its authenticity.
